The children's softshell jackets are produced under BSCI-certified conditions and have a fluorine-free coating, called Bionic Finish. The fluorine-free coating ensures that the softshell jackets for children do not contain harmful fluorocarbons that can contribute to the development of skin irritations, such as dryness, redness and rashes.

At Danefæ, we go the extra mile and are happy to stand on our heads to make sure that our delicious softshell jackets for children do not contain harmful substances. We set strict requirements for all our manufacturers and revise the requirements on an ongoing basis in collaboration with both the Danish Technological Institute and the international body SGS.

Softshell is an extremely comfortable and stretchable material that combines both warmth and wind and water resistance. This is done through a construction consisting of three layers:

• The outermost layer of the softshell children's jacket consists of a high-count polyester stretch outer shell. Of course with a water-repellent and fluoride-free treatment
• The middle layer consists of both a wind and waterproof membrane that protects against cold and water
• Inside the softshell children's jacket you will find a soft fleece layer that is comfortable and soft against the skin and provides warmth

Our delicious children's softshell jackets can handle a lot of wind and water. In fact, they have a water resistance of 3,000 mm, so they are perfect for a day out in the woods in autumn, when the Danish weather often offers lots of water. Please note, however, that our children's softshell jackets cannot replace a rain jacket if the weather forecast calls for heavy rain. The soft fleece on the inside means that the seams cannot be taped, so that in some cases water can penetrate through the seams if the child is out in heavy rain.

The jackets are not 100% waterproof, but provide very good protection in wet weather and wind. The softshell jacket allows the child to breathe and the material dries quickly. The breathable material keeps the child dry even if the sweat announces its arrival, but also contributes to the fact that the jacket is easy to wash and clean.

Especially the autumn season offers cold winds, where the temperatures feel colder than they are, but the windproof function keeps the cold at bay. In addition, a softshell jacket is also water-repellent and pleasantly warm.
