Gold Symphony is a tribute to one of our bestselling licorices SALT – made with the finest salt from Læsø! Each licorice is carefully coated with our new DULCE – a caramelized white chocolate that brings a new dimension to the familiar salty taste.
Liquorice has its characteristic taste because it is made from the finest licorice powder and because it is produced by the Maillard reaction, where milk protein and sugar react with each other in the pot. After boiling, the licorice is poured into molds, where it solidifies overnight. It is then cut and passed through a veil (or curtain) of liquid chocolate. After drying, it is ready to be eaten.
